Dutch boterkoek trivia

The famous Dutch food critic Johannes van Dam had officially declared that boterkoek can only be called boterkoek if real boter (butter) is used. 

The Belgiums make boterkoek too, it is called Dikmuidse boterkoek and does not look like the Dutch boterkoek at all! It looks more like a croissant.
