Dutch liquorice trivia

When the liquorice dough in the factory is made, it is poured in starch moulds and left to dry out at 65C for 36 hours. To give the liquorice it's shinny look it is glazed with beeswax or carnauba wax. This liquorice is glazed with carnauba wax.
