Crunchy minty salmiak pastilles / Mintnopjes

The white and red crunchy shell has a medium minty taste. Once you are through the shell you will get an explosion of salty salmiak liquorice. 

Yes, we find it strange too that there are a lot more white  pastilles in the bag then red ones.. They taste exactly the same by the way.

Salmiak refers to the ingredient "salmiak salt" (Salmiak zout) also known as 'sal ammoniac' and 'ammonium chloride'. Salmiak salt gives salty liquorice an astringent, salty taste (hence the name).
