Salty liquorice diamonds / Schuin zout

These soft, chewy liquorice diamonds are moderately salty and have a medium soft texture. The word 'zout' on the front means salt.

Drop (Dutch liquorice) is not a Dutch invention. It was invented in Italy by Giorio Amarelli. He was the first one who managed to extract liquorice from the liquorice root.
